its just like it was such a great move to make cas a dad bc everything he did up until season 12 was ultimately for dean and it changes EVERYTHING abt his character that he has something that he cares abt other than and MORE than dean. like at the end of season 14 he chose jack! and he was right to! unambiguously!
it makes cas and deans relationship way more interesting as well bc even unconciously dean does not know how to deal with that. and he has to work through that WITHOUT cas in s13.
it takes a character who was getting stagnant and gives him such a fresh and unique relationship within the show its so wonderful.
also like its just nice and fun to watch cas let his little boy beat him at connect four
