one of the most insulting parts of this is that castiel fans never got to properly mourn him because for the past 15 seasons they’ve been consistently told that death means nothing and main characters will always come back, especially since cas has already returned from the empty once on his own, and there was NOTHING stopping them from making jack bring him back this time, not to mention the way he died was so sudden and opened such a gigantic unfinished plotline that it was simply ludicrous to even consider he could be gone for good so people didnt get a chance to deal with his death or give him (and misha) a proper sendoff and appropriate mourning because there was simply NO WAY that’s how cas really dies, right? but turns out yeah they really gave him the dumbest most pointless death ever considering the man he sacrificed himself for died 2 days later anyway. and they couldn’t even have his last words stay “goodbye dean”, they had him back for a fucking prank call as a sprinkle of some extra bait and it’s just. absolutely disgusting
